Kathy Leissner and Charles Whitman were married for 3 years. They dated for 5 months after getting together in Feb 1962. After a 29 days engagement they were married on 17th Aug 1962. 3 years later Charles Whitman died aged 25.

After marriage the hero of our story returned to military service. He soon became a corporal, however, long to enjoy the new title was not necessary. Soon Whitman was again demoted to the ranks because of love to prohibited gambling. Military career of Charles ends in 1964.
